Nazia Islam is a Bangledshi-American student soon to be pursuing her higher studies in the field of biology and neuroscience. She was born in the U.S and raised in Bangladesh where she achieved the highest academic performance under the international British curriculum known as “ Edexcel IGCSE”, before moving back to the U.S to start her college education. Due to her international background, she was able to be exposed to different social problems and the strengths and weaknesses of many different curricula. Seeing firsthand the untapped potential of the community of underprivileged children, she started this website to further her quest to increase the inclusiveness of global education systems. She has been successfully working at the Empathy lab of BRAC University of Bangladesh and has created the common platform “NDROPS” to coordinate all the efforts including team building, fundraising, publishing, knowledge sharing, etc.
She has been involved in Model UN conferences where she has successfully debated and researched various global issues. She is also volunteering at a global non-profit organization known as simply neuroscience that deals with raising awareness and creating resources related to neuroscience. She is known to be organized and hardworking by her friends and family and spends her free time reading, strumming her guitar and playing badminton.
